Born on 11.8.1954 at Rajkot in a family of Cultural heritage. His father was famous for his Art. Designs and Cartoons. Had his Primary Education in Municipal Schools and Secondary education in Shri Swaminarayan Gurukul, Rajkot. He was graduated in Commerce and joined Shri A. M. P. Law College, Rajkot for studying law. Was numero uno in all LL.B. Examinations held in the respective years by the Saurashtra University. He ranked first in LL.B. (final) examination at the age of 21 and was awarded National Merit Scholarship and a Gold Medal. Completed Master of Laws program before attaining the age of 22. Enrolled as Advocate on 28.11.1975 with the Bar Council of Gujarat and started practice as an Advocate in Rajkot. During his legal avocation in Rajkot, represented many poor workmen and Trade Unions in Labour Courts. Was elected as Secretary of Labour Law Practitioners' Association for several successive years. Also appeared in Gujarat High Court since 1989. Shifted to Ahmedabad in 1994 and established lucrative practice in the Gujarat High Court. Practised in Rajkot and High Court of Gujarat in Civil, Criminal, Constitutional, PIL, Labour, Service and Pollution matters. Participated in several national-level legal workshops and conferences and was appointed as a Commissioner by the High Court. His teachers and lawyer friends lent overwhelming support for his principled stand which was widely appreciated by the Courts. Elevated to the Bench of the Gujarat High Court as Additional Judge on 17.9.1999 and confirmed as Permanent Judge on 18.6.2001. Due to retire on 11.8.2016.
